Experience the Arboretum in a whole new light!

As the winter sun sets, the magic begins as the Arboretum transforms into a magical after-dark wonderland.

Over three enchanting weekends, The Village on the outdoor Events Terrace comes alive every Friday and Saturday night with twinkling lights, crackling fire pits, delicious food and unforgettable experiences for all ages.

Gather with family and friends around the warmth of the fire pits and admire breathtaking night views across Canberra from one of the Arboretum's most spectacular vantage points.

Indulge in a delicious selection of food from some of Canberra’s favourite festival vendors as you sit and stare at starry skies, or on your way to a Stargazing session on Dairy Farmers Hill.

Create magical memories with loved ones as you stroll through the Events Terrace at night, and ignite young imaginations in the Children's Night Garden, illuminated by thousands of twinkling fairy lights and a magical tunnel of light.

Light up the night with your very own lantern made in our creative workshops and admire the beautiful community-made lanterns (displayed by the artist) on 18 and 19 July, as a part of a community art project.

Don't miss the rare opportunity to experience the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection after dark on 17, 18 and 19 July.

The Arboretum After Dark is a truly unique Canberra experience — warm, welcoming and filled with wonder.
