Event Terrace and Gallery of Gardens


From a bespoke gathering to a large outdoor event, the intimate setting of the landscaped Gallery of Gardens to the expansive grassy Events Terrace, both outdoor venues offer sensational views across Canberra and a perfect place for your event.

What is the Gallery of Gardens? A series of seven gardens, each with distinctive story and design, with a variety of landscape features and functional spaces for guests to enjoy. Power and potable water are available for each garden, and some spaces can accommodate a small marquee, making these stunning gardens a flexible venue for private events and gatherings.

The flat grassy Event Terrace is suitable for private or commercial events for up to 1500 people.

Gallery of Gardens
  • There are seven individual gardens available for hire.
  • The capacity varies depending on the garden. Maximum of 60 people.
  • Event infrastructure or external suppliers are no  permitted without prior approval including marquees.
  • All outdoor wedding ceremonies and planned celebrations of any size must be pre-booked, minimum fees apply.
  • This applies to all small and low impact events.
  • Power available.
Event Terrace
  • Outdoor venue suited to smaller private or commercial events and concerts.
  • Base rate includes one day bump in and one day bump out.
  • Three phase power and potable water available.
  • Additional on-site facilities and venues available for hire.
  • Additional equipment brought onsite by arrangement.
  • All arrangements, permits and planning to be approved by the Arboretum.
  • Power and potable water in some locations.
