Volunteer

A passionate and dedicated group of volunteers contribute their time, knowledge and skills to projects and events that develop and enhance the Arboretum.   Many volunteers are attracted to the Arboretum for the diversity of projects, our bold vision and for the opportunity to be part of a growing institution.

Would you like to volunteer?

There is a wide range of activities that you can become involved in, from offering tours, assisting at events to helping out in the forest working bees.  Perhaps bonsai is your passion or maybe you would like to be involved in citizen science.   We have volunteers helping us in almost every area of the Arboretum. Did you know that we have a Harvest Group that pick and pickle produce from the forest and gardens.  We also have a regional botanic garden , bush tucker garden and cacti and succulent garden cared for by volunteers.

Love to knit? We welcome your contribution to the annual ‘Warm Trees’, the largest knitted forest installation in the world.

Our volunteers make an invaluable contribution to the Arboretum and we highly value their support.
