What would you recommend?

Our free guided Welcome Walks offer a delightful introduction to the Arboretum’s diverse landscapes, including its lush forests, stunning gardens, and some hidden gems you won’t want to miss. Each walk is led by an experienced guide and is perfect for visitors who want to explore the beauty of the Arboretum at a relaxed pace. All walks are wheelchair and stroller accessible, making them suitable for everyone.

No bookings required - just come along and enjoy the journey!

Meet: Information Desk in the Village Centre

10:30 – 10:50 AM: Arboretum Views
Start your day with breathtaking panoramic views of the Arboretum and beyond. This walk highlights the Arboretum’s iconic vistas and introduces you to some of its key forests, providing a fantastic overview of this living landscape.

11:30 – 11:50 AM: Discovery Garden Walk
Explore the Discovery Garden, a space designed to inspire. During this walk, you’ll explore sustainable gardening practices and discover a variety of native plants. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather ideas and inspiration for creating your own eco-friendly garden at home.

12:30 – 12:50 PM: Gallery of Gardens Walk
Take a stroll through the beautiful and diverse Gallery of Gardens, where creativity meets nature. This walk showcases the variety of themed gardens, each with its own story and design, offering something for both garden enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.


Companion Cards

Companion Cards are recognised for carers accompanying a visitor with a disability. Careers will have free companion admission to ticketed tours, but do need to purchase a free ticket as capacity on our paid tours are limited.

Other Walks & Tours

Unfortunately, our Ngala Bus is not wheelchair accessible and requires limited mobility to climb three steps on to the bus. The look out stops on the Ngala Discovery Tours have sealed paths.

Our Forest Walks are often on uneven and sloped grounds however an accessible Forest Walk can be arranged with advanced notice.
