The Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra are delighted to announce the return of Warm Trees this July 2025! This year, we proudly partner with the Republic of Korea to bring a vibrant cultural experience to the Arboretum.

Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and guided by the educators of the National Arboretum these engaging workshops will introduce children to traditional Korean crafts and culture through hands-on creativity.

Experience traditional Korean art with this hands-on fan making activity!

In this fun and easy Korean fan making workshop, children can colour and decorate their own Minhwa (Korean folk art) folding fan.

Be inspired by illustrations of Korea's native plants and animals. Make your own unique souvenir with colours, patterns, or Korean-inspired designs and take home a piece of Korean culture to keep!

Recommended for children aged 5 - 7, requires accompanying adult supervision.
