Congratulations to the National Arboretum's Facilities Officer, Matthew Platt, who was recently recognised at the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) Safety & Wellbeing Awards.

Matthew won the ‘Communication’ category, which recognises elected Health and Safety Representatives whose contributions have made an exceptional difference to PeopleSafety matters in the workplace.

Matthew received the award for generously engaging and supporting staff, contractors and volunteers to mitigate hazards and ensure safety for all.

The CMTEDD Safety & Wellbeing Awards program is held annually in October to recognise exceptional efforts and contributions to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone and to celebrate the contributions of individuals and teams to improving health, safety and wellbeing. The awards also contribute to CMTEDD’s recognition and celebration of National Safe Work Month and Mental Health Month.

Congratulations Matt, and thank you for all you do!
