Visiting guest artists Marija Hajdic from Croatia and Morten Albek from Denmark brought international flair and expertise to Bonsai Reshaped 2024. Their demonstrations and insights enriched the event, inspiring attendees with their mastery and passion for bonsai.

The intermediate bonsai workshops showcased a wonderful display of creative flair, with attendees exploring advanced techniques and refining their craft. It was a sight to behold seeing the variety of tree species, intricate designs and unique interpretations of bonsai styling.

At the beginner bonsai workshops, the air was filled with excitement and happiness as proud "new bonsai parents" nurtured their miniature masterpieces. The joy on their faces reflected the profound connection between art, nature, and personal accomplishment.

During the four-day event, the Bonsai Market stalls bustled with excitement as both seasoned bonsai practitioners and newcomers alike explored an array of tools, equipment and expert advice.  We would like to thank all of the stall holders for a successful market weekend.

The winners of the Bonsai Pot Acquisition Prize were announced, congratulations to first prize winner Monica Leone, second prize winner Tracey Francis and to Marie Hewartson in third place. The Joe Mifsud Volunteer of the Year award dedicated to the late Joe Mifsud, lifelong bonsai volunteer, was awarded to Charlie Dearling.

Visitors to the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia were treated to a special collaboration with the Canberra Bonsai Society, featuring a stunning display of Shohin Bonsai - an exquisite celebration of this ancient art form in miniature.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year to celebrate the beauty and artistry of bonsai once again.

A special thank you to the Bonsai Trust Fund and the Canberra Bonsai Society.
