Each year in July during the depths of winter, the National Arboretum Canberra comes alive with colour from thousands of knitted scarfs wrapped around trees and crochet displays. Volunteer knitters from around Australia and the world support the Warm Trees project and this winter we invite you to join us.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is our Warm Trees 2019 partner and knitted tulips and bikes will feature in the forests! Feeling creative? We welcome donations knitted or crochet tulips of all sizes and colours and knitted scarves for a very special display. At the end of Warm Trees, the scarves are collected, washed and donated to various charities in Australia. Please drop off your donations to the Information Desk in the Village Centre. Keep an eye on our website and facebook page for upcoming knitting and Warm Tree events.
Proudly brought to you by the Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra.
