Floriade Walk – Research at the National Arboretum
29 September 2019
9:30am - 11:30am
Are you in Canberra to see Floriade? Visit the National Arboretum Canberra whilst you are here. One of our most important roles is to generate research and new knowledge about our rare, endangered and symbolic trees and forests and their ecology. With assistance from citizen science volunteers, students and academics, the National Arboretum is collecting data on the health and growth of the trees, soil moisture, seed production and fauna biodiversity.
Join a guide for a walk through our forests to learn more about current research projects and how they assist the Arboretum to manage its living collections.
Meet at the Information Desk in the Village Centre.
Moderate fitness required. Please wear sturdy, covered footwear, dress for the weather conditions and bring water.
Gold Coin donation appreciated.
Bought to you by the Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra.
