Come and create your own native animal artwork at the National Arboretum Canberra! Using natural resources collected on site, you will craft a piece of art while learning about the significance of plants and animals to Indigenous Australians.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about Indigenous symbols and paint this onto a eucalyptus leaf to be added to a hanging mobile!
We will be taking a short walk into a nearby forests so please ensure children have covered shoes, have a sun hat and are dressed for the weather. Please bring a drink bottle for you child.
Appropriate Age Group: 4 – 7 year old’s
Please note: Parents are required to stay with children for this workshop.
Numbers for this workshop have been restricted to 14 people (total) to ensure social distancing is maintained during the craft session. There will be no shared craft materials. If any children or adults are unwell, we ask that you stay at home. Hand sanitiser will be available to use, bathroom and hand washing facilities are available.
